What does financial ring-fencing mean?
Financial ring-fencing means water services finances are kept separate from other Council activities.
This will provide clearer reporting on the costs of delivering drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services and improve transparency for the community.
Council will continue to own the infrastructure and remain responsible for delivering these services.
